What Defines an External Technician?

External Technicians do not work for the companies they service.

 

 

What Defines an External Pin Code Technician?

 

● External Pin Code Technicians use a Pin Code, provided by their company to log into SC Provider;

● The Pin Code provided can be unique to the Technician or a company-wide Pin Code;

● External Username Technicians using a unique Pin Code have registered Service Automation accounts, complete with contact information and a photo;

● External Pin Code Technicians with a unique Pin Code can display an electronic badge with their image on it as an additional form of identification; and

● External Pin Code Technicians using a company-wide Pin Code can display an electronic badge with a company logo as an additional form of identification.

 

What Defines an External Username Technician?

 

● External Username Technicians use a Username/Password combo to log into SC Provider;

● External Username Technicians have registered Service Automation accounts, complete with contact information and a photo;

● External Username Technicians can be granted task/access permissions*, by their clients, that are unavailable to External Pin Code Technicians; and

● External Username Technicians can access and update their personal account information.
